EVERY DAY MOMENTS- 2013
I used one of my favourite Dusty Attic pieces for this one, a Skelleton Clock frame, I used a portion of it on the edge of the photo and the other part in the far corner. The papers are from Maja Design and te embellishments and title stamp are from My Little Yellow Bicycle. I used some DA Gloss Varnish on my title stamp to give it more of a shine and some texture as well.
FROM PARIS WITH LOVE- 2013
I got to use a whole buncha new goodies for this page, the new Webters Pages collection 'Postcards From Paris II' and the new Dusty Attic Bicycle! I love this chippie! I also used the Dusty In Bloom mini roses. Here is a close up....
I had a lot of fun using stencils and texture paste along with some gorgeous Dusty Attic Chippies when I made up this page using the new Maja Design collection called Sofiero. I used the Corner Flourish #3, Rose Vine (portions of it), Bird Houses. The Stencil I used is Crafters Workshop.
I made this travel page for a Bo Bunny Design team challenge to do a travel/vacation page using 3 photos. I immediately thought of the 'Compass Rose' chipboard piece for this one. I heat embossed this chippie with a bunch of metalic embossing powders to get an aged metal patina.
I did a little bit of texture masking for this frame and used some Dusty Attic Sweet Pea Frame Set, Mini Scroll #2, Dusty In Bloom Flowers tinted with some watered down Dusty In Color Paint. The Chipboard pieces were coated with some DA Crackle Varnish as well.
This is a layout I made using Maja Design papers (Vintage Spring Basics) and My Little Yellow Bicycle embellishments and alphas. I used one of the large DA scrolls for this one and cut it in half bracketing the floral cluster (the yellow felt blooms are handmade, you can find my tutorial for them in the right column of my blog). I also used the DA Dusty In Color 'Bisque' paint to dry brush my background.
This is a layout I made for a Bo Bunny challenge using 2 or more of the same photo. I used 3 of the same photo's each edited differently (color, B&W, Sepia). I used 3 different bo bunny collections (Anthem, Cest La Vie and Prairie Chic for this one)....I also used one of my favourite Dusty Attic chipboard pieces (Window with Shutters....minus the shutters for this layout :P ...I also used some of the Dusty In Color paints for this one (I love the way the go on partially sheer so that bits of the background shows, it looks like chalk ink!)
Sometimes I think I should be called the 'back-side' scrapper! lol! For this layout I used 5 different papers from the Websters Pages Plum Seed collection, but I used a bunch of the more muted colors on the backsides of the papers to create my page.
I made this page as a guest designer over at Scraps of Elegance. I used an old favourite of mine from Dusty Attic "Decorative Frame #2" and half of a "Corner Flourish #3" to make up this page. I used DA's Gloss Medium randomly on the vine to give it a spotty rain dotted look
I was so happy to find all these beautiful papers and embellishments in the kit I was sent to Guest design with this month from Scraps of Elegance! I made this pagge of my oldest daughter and her BFF, using an awesome sketch by Suepup (sketch designer for SOE!) I used one of the DA Ornate Frames, painted it white and used some white pearl 3D paint on it to give it a 'resin' look. I also used a DA Corner Vine chippie.
When I saw the new Rustic Farm Fence from Dusty Attic, I knew I had the perfect piece of chipboard to build my layout for this photo of my oldest daughter Chloe with her best friend Peyton and her horse! I used a variety of country themed chipboard pieces from Dusty Attic including (Wagon Wheel, Leafy Scroll, Bird Houses, Bird Nest, Rustic Farm Fence, Grass Cluster #1)
I took this photo of my '3 girls' (My two daughters and Chloe's BFF) at a festival we recently took the girls to. I wanted to go with a pretty feminine look so I created a corset embellishment. I first hand-drew the design and then traced it out on some Maja patterned paper
I just love the Spring, especially because all our french lilacs are in bloom! Our wedding anniversary falls at the same time that the blooms are at the perfect picking stage and my girls always pick me a big arm load of the fragrant blooms for on our anniversary day....these are pic's I took of Chloe with her bouquet.
I used the Maja Design paper collection called 'Vintage Spring Basics' for this one as well as Dusty Attic Cherry Blossom chipboard for this one
I used the Maja Design paper collection called 'Vintage Spring Basics' for this one as well as Dusty Attic Cherry Blossom chipboard for this one
I recently did a layout based on a childrens book and this got me thinking of another favourite from when my kids were little, a book by a Canadian Author, Robert Munsch called "I'll Love You Forever" ....a story about a mom that holds her little baby boy and rocks him in her arms saying "I'll love you forever" and she continues to do this over the years, through toddler, teens, etc. no matter what mischief he's been up to. The story goes on to talk about how the boy becomes a man and later has children of his own, and she has become too old and sick to visit anymore.....the young father gets in his car and drives over to his mothers house and gently picks her up in his arms and says to her "I'll love you forever". I always had a hard time not tearing up when I read this one to my kids, but it always stuck with me how important it is to let our children know constantly how much we love them and to actually speak the words.
I also used some of my old favourites from my Dusty Attic Chipboard stash. "Vine Border", "Ornate Arched Windows", "Cameo Sliders", "Decorative Frame#1", "Dusty In Bloom - Grassy Knoll", "Dusty In Color", "Crackle Varnish"
